Another possible bomb attack in New York, a truck full of gas on Triborough Bridge.

Triborough Bridge

NEW YORK –  The famous New York City’s Triborough Bridge was completely shut down on Wednesday night by the NYPD.

The NY  police said the reason for it was an abandoned truck, smelling of gas.

In a brief press conference, New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne said to TAP  that a worker on Triborough bridge – which connects Manhattan with Queens and the Bronx- found the truck abandoned by its driver and apparently smelling of gas.

The New York police bomb squad was trying to open the vehicle and find out if there is a bomb there.

The closure of the bridge came days after a failed bomb attack on New York’s Times Square.

Browne said it was a U-Haul rental truck with Arizona license plates. It was left on a Manhattan-bound service road leading from the Bronx, he said. Fire officials were responding.
