The saber rattling continues in the Gulf: Iran announces a demonstrative maneuvers with long-range missiles. With their reach, they could also reach U.S. , French and British military bases in the region.

After the threat to block oil shipments in the Persian Gulf, Iran has now announced maneuvers with “long-range missiles” in the strategically important sea area. “Saturday morning, the Iranian Navy will test some of their long-range missiles in the Persian Gulf,” said the deputy commander of the Navy, Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi.

The missile tests are part of a major Iranian military maneuvers, which began last weekend. The 2nd to Exercises are ongoing in January after Mussavis words now appear in their most important phase. The goal is to prepare the Iranian navy on a war-like situation.
